Sometimes life is not what we expect. Difficult and unexpected circumstances can arise such as being absent from a loved one. Youre not on your own as absent is here to help.

Anyone can become a missing person either voluntarily or in some cases involuntarily. A missing person is anyone whose whereabouts cannot be established. They will be considered as missing until located, and their well-being or otherwise confirmed.

Understanding the reasons why people go missing can be very traumatic for the family, friends and associates left behind. With this in mind Absent™ is here for everyone who is left present in their absence.

The Absent™ app has been created to help raise awareness and provide a means of report sightings of missing people across the World.

Report a missing person - Write a full description, upload multiple images and mark the location last seen. Users can comment and upload additional images or mark location on a map of a sighting. Each time a user comments on the missing person profile you will be notified in real time.

View each individual missing persons case with photos and full descriptions. Follow updates, view sightings on maps and report your own sightings using your camera and map location.

Please note

If someone goes missing, contact anyone you think may know their whereabouts. If youre still concerned, contact your local police. You dont have to wait 24 hours before contacting the police.

We are also developing a personal story Journal / Vault for the application. This would allow you and family members to create a personal timeline by either posting videos, photographs or messages whether it be on specific occasions or when you feel the need to share something in a private, safe and secure environment.
