DeepIsaac

Using deep convolutional neural networks, you can search for an item by simply taking a picture of it! Perfect for newer players of The Binding of Isaac who might not have all of the items memorized yet.
Once you search for the item, you can then get a short description of what it does, and add it to your current inventory so that you can keep track of the items you have during a run.
Additionally, you can check to see if any given item has any synergies or interactions with items currently stored in your inventory!

Instructions:

To begin, simply click Search for Item

This will take you to the camera view

Point your camera at the item you would like to identify,
and try to place the item within the square guidelines as well as possible.

The app is best able to identify items if there is little to no
interference in the image, so also try to exclude any background objects such as fire, spikes, and most importantly, the item pedestal, if possible.

You may also zoom in or out in order to crop the item within the guidelines as necessary by using the zoom in and out buttons

After you have properly cropped the item within the square guidelines, press the capture button (between the zoom in and zoom out buttons)

The app will then try to identify the item you have captured, and present the most likely items in a scrollable list, underneath the image of the item you have captured

The item may not always be the first on the list, so scroll down the list to see if the item correctly appears further down the list

If the item doesnt appear on the list, try capturing another picture of the item, adjusting the zoom, angle, or positioning.

If you are able to find the item you are searching for in the results list, you can click the item to get more information about it.

You can also add the item to your current inventory by clicking the button that says ADD TO INVENTORY, this will keep track of all of the items you have identified, just in case you forgot what one does and need to refer back.

Swipe down on the top box of the inventory in order to close the inventory box

If you want to remove a specific item from your inventory, press on the item to show the info popup and then press the button that says REMOVE FROM INVENTORY

If you are starting a new run and want to clear your full inventory, click the first red button on the inventory list that says CLEAR INVENTORY

You can also check whatever synergies any given item may have with your current inventory by clicking the button marked SYNERGIES/INTERACTIONS WITH INVENTORY

This will check whether the currently selected item has any synergies with any items actively in your Inventory
